A unique blend of fine bark, woodfibre (by-products of sustainably managed forests) and coir (from known, ethically-approved sources). It contains balanced nutrients sufficient for the first 4 - 6 weeks of growth. This growing medium is based on one widely used throughout the UK by professional growers and is suitable for a wide range of uses around the garden. Melcourt SylvaGrow Multi-purpose contains no peat or green waste compost.

Strulch is manufactured in Britain, entirely from locally sourced quality wheat straw with added iron minerals. For use on borders, raised beds, around cultivated fruit and on vegetable plots. Leave on beds for more than one year or work into the soil at the end of the season to improve soil structure and drainage. Strulch darkens with age when spread or in the bags to produce an earthy brown colour.

Remove existing weeds and spread around established plants and shrubs to a depth of 3-4 cm on bare soil. The 100 litre bags from our stockists each cover up to 3 square meters. One 150 litre bulk bags will cover up to 4.5 square meters. Water the mulch to fix it in place, leave space around woody stems.

Ericaceous compost has been designed to create the perfect conditions for calcifuges (acid loving plants) such as Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Berberis, Pieris, Hydrangea, Heathers, Magnolia, Skimmia, Conifers and Blueberries. Our ericaceous compost has an acidic pH of 4.0 that is perfect for calcifuges and the lime free formula makes sure that it does not rise to an alkaline level.

EasyGro Potters Compost
is specially formulated keeping potted plants in mind. Our formula contains a peat based mix with added wetting agent and a controlled slow release fertiliser. The slow release of nutrients combined with the wetting agent gives a feeding time for around 6 months reducing the need to water plants that are in the medium.
